The boot is the mandatory starting stake each player puts in before cards are dealt. It sets the minimum pot size and determines the initial call and raise amounts for that round.

A blind player bets without looking at their cards, which doubles their betting power. Seen players must match twice the blind player's stake to stay in the same hand.

A sideshow lets you privately compare your hand with the previous player's. If your hand is weaker, you fold automatically. The requesting player must be seen, not blind, to initiate it.

A seen player has looked at their three cards and bets at the standard rate. Once seen, you cannot return to blind status during that hand regardless of the variant being played.

A trail — also called a set or three of a kind — is three cards of the same rank. It ranks above a pure sequence and is the strongest hand in standard Teen Patti Battle formats.

To pack is to fold your hand and exit the round, forfeiting any stake already placed in the pot. Once you pack, you cannot re-enter that hand even if other players continue betting.
